The annual GSDCV Fun Day was hosted by the Geelong branch at Elcho Park on Sunday 18 July. Members of the various branches gathered at the Park to enjoy a day of obedience trialling and activities such as fastest tunnel run and fastest recall. A great day was had by all members thanks to the Geelong members who arrived early on the day to set up the courses and those who judged the trials and timed the races.
We were pleased that a number of our members were successful at the trials, with the following results:
• Class 1B: Veronica Filmer and Sadie – 1st prize
• Class 2A: Pieter Haans and Zeus – 1st prize
• Class 2A: Adrian Hooper and Shiva – 2nd prize
• Class 2B: Barbara Pownall and Chase – 2nd prize
• CCD: Peter Gehlhar and Me Me – 1st prize
• Class 3: Peter Gehlhar and Me Me – 2nd prize
• Junior Handler: Ruby Hooper and Shiva – 2nd prize
• Novice untitled: Dennis Gladman and Shadow – 1st prize
• Veterans: Dennis Gladman and Shadow – 1st prize
• Veterans: Barbara Pownall and Schatzi – 2nd prize
